The City of Prince George will receive their share of nearly $1.5-million in provincial emergency preparedness funding.
A total of $25,000 will be handed to Prince George, which will be put towards the rehearsal of a concept drill, as well as an EOC redundancy project.
Redundancy projects are designed to ensure the sustainability of an EOC.
The purpose of the funding program is to support emergency operations centres and related emergency training.
The funding the Northern Capital is receiving is part of a $33.5-million plan designed to help communities prepare for, and respond to, disasters.
