Have you ever dreamed of stepping up onto the podium and hearing your national anthem play?
The RBC Training Ground is giving athletes in Prince George and the surrounding area the opportunity to showcase their athletic ability, with the hope of finding Canada’s next great Olympian.
The event will be held at the University of Northern British Columbia.
RBC Training Ground is designed to give athletes — regardless of what sports background they come from — the chance to test their strength, speed, power, and endurance in front of members from Olympic sports.
This will be a free event, however, those interested in attending will need to register online beforehand.
Registration can be done in advance of the event at RBCTrainingGround.com.
The event taking place in Prince George is just one of 35 local combines happening across the country this year.
Athletes to separate themselves from the rest will begin further testing for specific sports, being deemed to have Olympic potential. From there, they may earn an invitation to the national final, which will bring the top-100 athletes together.
Those 100 athletes will then be narrowed down to upwards of 30 high-performing athletes who will be considered RBC Future Olympians.
