Sixteen firefighters from three Prince George fire halls responded to a reported “minor explosion” at the YMCA Tuesday at about 10:15am.
Upon arrival fire crews found that a small explosion happened in the maintenance room, involving a butane canister.
The incident is not suspicious and did not result in any injuries. There is no damage estimate available at this time.
The YMCA expects to reopen by 3:00 p.m..
