Shirley Bond looking forward to 2015

Prince George – Valemount MLA Shirley Bond is looking forward to next year.

She says the biggest highlight for 2014 was the government balancing the budget for the second year in a row. She also noted the province’s work in beefing up skilled trades training.

Locally in Prince George she says new faces at city hall and around the city mark a new chapter in the city’s story;

“We had the progress and building moving forward at the teaching and learning building at the University Hospital of Northern BC. We had new presidents arrive at both CNC and UNBC. All of that signals important investment and new beginnings at those institutions.”

She added that the run to the Canada Winter Games has been exciting for the city and region.

Next year she is going to focus on building relationships with new the mayors and councilors across her riding. She is also interested in continuing to work to bring LNG to BC and committed to improving healthcare in the north.
