Salvation army kettle drive hoping for Christmas miracles

The Salvation Army is hoping it will be able to reach its Kettle campaign goal this year.

The Sally Ann’s Bill Glasgow talked about how the past weekend was hot and cold:

“We are doing both good, and bad. We had a fantastic weekend with over $26,000 dollars collected on Friday and Saturday. So our totals are up to $187,100 [and] we are still about sixty some odd thousand off our goal with two days left”

To reach the $250,000 goal would mean raking in around $30,000 per day which Glasgow says is a tall order, but says the kindness and generosity of the people of Prince George usually comes through on these final few days.

Kettles can be found at grocery stores and retail locations all across the city.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
