Prince George recognizes a kid with a big heart

MLA Shirley Bond, Mayor Lyn Hall and RCMP Superintendent Warren Brown joined on Monday afternoon to recognize a little man on a big mission.

5 year old Linden Shelford has been carrying out a “pay it forward” advent calendar with the help of his mom, covering the city of Prince George with good deeds.

Linden’s mother Tanya says all the attention Linden has gotten is amazing;

“It started out really small with him and I, and it avalanched and snowballed into this huge thing that the whole city is involved with. It’s just been amazing and Linden is loving it every day.”

Lyn Hall presented a custom award while Shirley Bond gave Linden a letter from the Premier and a stuffed animal. Superintendent Brown is going to give Linden his own tour of the police station.

Good deeds included dropping off jelly beans to the RCMP, cookies for the fire department, cupcakes for paramedics, kettle ringing for the Salvation Army and many more.
