Federal Minister of Natural Resources, Amarjeet Sohi, will be in Prince George later this month.
He is providing a keynote address at the 16th annual BC Natural Resources Forum, being hosted at the PG Civic Centre.
Advisory Committee Chair, Dan Jepsen said, “there’s no doubt that this is a result of Jim Carr, the Federal Minister [of International Trade Diversification], who joined us last year, who thrilled the audience by indicating that he felt the forum was the most important resource forum in western Canada.”
The theme of the forum this year is innovation in the resource sector.
“The Minister is responsible for energy and forestry so with those seeds being deeply ingrained in the forum over the past 16 years, he’s got an open book and no lack of topics that he will be able to touch on.”
Sohi will speak January 23rd, while the forum runs from the 22nd to 24th.
Other speakers include Premier John Horgan and LNG Canada CEO, Andy Calitz.
