Ahac to play with the top CJHL prospects

Another honour for Prince George Spruce Kings defenseman Layton Ahac.

The 17-year-old, who is committed to Ohio State University, has been named to Team West for the 2019 Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Prospects Game in Okotoks, Alberta January 22nd.

He is among 11 BCHL players invited.

The announcement comes just two days after Ahac helped Canada West to a bronze medal at the World Junior A Challenge.

He notched two assists (his only points of the tournament) in a 3-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the third-place game.

The 24-9-1-2 Spruce Kings visit the (16-18-1) Langley Rivermen Thursday and the (8-25-1-2) Surrey Eagles Friday before entering their Christmas break.

Prince George leads the Mainland Division by one point over the (25-11) Chilliwack Chiefs.
