The Province is dishing out some money to support training services for Search and Rescue volunteers province wide.
The one time 50 thousand dollar boost will provide additional first aid training for search and rescue volunteers.
President of the BC SAR Chris Kelly says the extra training will always benefit those in the field:
“So this will give everybody a more comfortable attitude that they can and will have adequate first aid to attend to the patient”
In addition to this one time sum, the BC government also provides $310,000 in annual funding for the BC Search and Rescue divisions.
