Work on Highway 16 has won a local company a provincial award.
IDL Projects in Prince George was given the top award for grading work they did on the highway between Bunce Road and Blackwater Road at the Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Awards Ceremony in Victoria last week.
Noel Knapp, project manager for the company said the win was partly due to the fact the project came in under budget, but it was also the high degree of accuracy involved in the work.
According to a news release from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, the work took place in one of the busiest corridors in the northern region of BC.
