The final day of Vistas community Christmas was a raging success as we saw the biggest crowds yet, hundreds of dollars in donations, and a steady stream of non perishable food items, toys and other essentials.
Bernie Goold is Chair of St.Vincent de Paul Society and reflected on how things went over the course of the week:
“I am still in awe at the generosity, when I look at that trailer and see the beautiful gifts the really nice quality food, it reminds me of how lucky we are to live in Prince George. We couldn’t open our doors without this generosity”
While official numbers have yet to be announced we do know that at least $25,000 in cash was collected, which, coupled with all the other food and toys will see an even higher total.
Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
