Femme Fatale Event to raise money for IWAU award

It’s femme fatale theme at Nancy O’s restaurant this weekend.

The event, featuring Andrea Superstein and Band, is one of many for Inspiring Women Among Us (IWAU) week in Prince George.

Dr. Annie Booth of IWAU said they are encouraging attendees to dress up in femme fatale style, and the colour themes are purple, black and gold.

“We want people to take a look at the 1930’s Ingrid Bergman style. Kind of smokey and mysterious. It really is about the mystery of women and the mystery of making sure women succeed in this world.”

This particular event is fundraising for the IWAU award fund, which helps women at UNBC who need financial assistance to continue their studies. Booth said the award has 6 times more applicants than it can afford to help.

The event is on Saturday at 9:00pm at Nancy O’s on 1261 3rd Avenue in Prince George. For tickets and more information, you can follow this link.
