After a local resident lost his home and possessions in a fire, he’s now thanking Prince George’s citizens for their generosity.
Arthur Schipfel’s Upper Mud River home was destroyed in a fire and those close to him suggested he start a fundraising campaign for money, clothes, and general household items, especially for his two children aged seven and 10.
He says he was blown away by the response had had over social media and in person.
“Prince George is an awesome community,” he says. “They have come forward to help in so, so many ways. It just amazes me that they have put aside their daily things to help me. It feels very humbling.”
