Even though they’ve only been open a little over a year, Sonar Comedy and Night Club still managed to win Business of the Year Award at the 33rd Annual Business Excellence Awards over the weekend.
“It was a surprise, there were a lot of good businesses up for the award. It’s an honour to be recognized by the city,” said Jason Luke, owner of Sonar.
“We did spend a lot of time, a couple years planning and focusing on opening a business that would really benefit and make the downtown a better place,” said Luke.
“It was something that was needed for sure in the downtown.”
