Spruceland Exchange temporary bus stop changes

Paving at the Spruceland Transit exchange is forcing temporary changes for the bus stop.

On Thursday, October 25th, buses normally stopping at the exchange, along both Central Street West and 8th Ave, will move to the east and west sides of Ahbau Street, respectively. This will affect north- and south-facing routes.

North-facing routes:

  • 1 North Ospika
  • 55 Victoria
  • 89 Hart
  • 91 Spruceland
  • 17 UNBC
  • 96 Kelly
  • 97 Kelly
  • HandyDART

Continued south-facing routes to be staged on the west die of Ahbau Street:

  • 1 Rainbow
  • 10 Downtown
  • 5 Victoria
  • 88 Westgate

The change could continue into Friday, however, all exchange stops should be back to normal by Saturday, October 27th, at the latest.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will also be paving parts of Highway 97 and Central Street West near Spruceland Mall on Wednesday. Traffic at the intersection of Highway 97 and 5th Avenue will be reduced and traffic congestion is anticipated.

Anyone travelling from the Hart to the downtown is asked to take the North Nechako Road exit to the Cameron Street bridge, where practical.
