Woman arrested, charged in reported weekend stabbing

One woman is facing six charges, including Attempted Murder, after an incident on McIntyre Crescent in Prince George this weekend.

Early Sunday morning, Police responded to a report of a stabbing and arrested Sindy Pelletier, 38, at the scene. In addition to the Attempted Murder, Pelletier is also facing Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats. She will make her first Provincial Court appearance later today.

Officers found an adult man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds upon arrival. He was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

RCMP say the two parties involved are known to each other, this was an isolated incident, and alcohol was a factor.
