There are 102-kilometres of trails available in Prince George.
The milestone was reached after the trail system at Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park was implemented.
City Parks Division Community Coordinator Robyn McConkey says this speaks to the identity of the city.
“We’ve heard loud and clear through our parks strategy, and over the years through many public consultations, how much Prince George residents love their parks and their trails,” she explains.
“Trails give our residents an opportunity to get outside, to be active, enjoy nature, maximize their mood, and enjoy everything that Prince George has to offer.”
“The more trails enhancements we can do in our parks and to our trails, and connectivity, accessibility, giving people the opportunity to be outside, to be running, biking, any of these opportunities that we can get Prince George to be more active, outdoors, and enjoying our beautiful scenery and nature.”
A new trail guide has been composed for PG residents to learn about, and locate, trails available in the city. To view the online version, click here.
