Cannabis regulations are once again on the table for the Prince George city council meeting, they will be trying to finalize zoning bylaws for retail outlets and licensing fees in the city. At the last meeting, council voted to lower the proposed licensing fee for retailers from $5000.00 to $1000.00 before they would go to another reading.
Councillor Garth Frizzell will be asking for approval of over two million dollars in tax exemptions for non-profits in the city from his 2019 Permissive Tax exemptions report, which was presented at the September 17th meeting.
Zoe Meletis and Annie Booth of “Inspiring Women Among Us 2018” will be making a presentation on their progress so far this year and a request to proclaim Inspiring Women Among us week in Prince George.
The Canadian Federation of engineering students will be asking council to help them host a Conference on Sustainability in Engineering in Prince George in February 2019.
