Hall seeking second straight term as mayor

The current mayor of Prince George is looking to cement his seat for another term.

Lyn Hall held an event in front of city hall to formally announce he will be rerunning for mayor in the upcoming municipal election.

He explains what is at the top of his ‘to-do list’ moving forward.

“I think infrastructure needs are still a top priority for us, we’re playing catch-up with some of our old infrastructure and that’s going to cost money and that’s going to cost some time with us dealing with the federal government on potential grants for that infrastructure so that will be a big project,” explains Hall, who says people have taken notice of PG and the northern capital has been “put on the map”.

“People understand and are realizing very quickly that this is a great place to invest. We are starting to see investment from the coast and the Okanagan now because that’s just the trend so we continue to build on that.”

Hall is the first candidate to come forward for the position of mayor.

The ten day nomination period will continue until September 14th. General voting day is October 20th.
