WATCH:
Prince George has officially surpassed three weeks of smoky skies as the air advisory continues.
Ash has become more noticeable with each passing day and with wildfires still growing, residents are being forced to evacuate elsewhere.
“We’re really preparing for the worst case scenario and of course, we experienced that last year with over 10,000 evacuees here. We’re prepared for as many as we need to take in and as many that want to come to Prince George.”
– Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall
Right now, over 150 evacuees are in the City and more are expected from the Bulkley-Nechako and Cariboo regions.
