The Great Park Escape at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park has been cancelled due to the air quality advisory.
The Prince George Hospice Society says they aren’t sure when the event will be rescheduled.
The organization was going to hosting the Great Park Escape from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. The idea was inspired by last year’s Forget the Fires In the Park event, to assist any evacuee children affected by the wildfires.
The Hospice Society has thousands of hot dogs that were ready to be given out at the event, which they will now use if more evacuees come to Prince George.
