A businessman from Prince George will be appointed to the Order of British Columbia, the Province’s highest form of recognition.
BID Group founder Brian Fehr receives the distinction along with 13 other citizens. BID Group provides innovative technical systems and construction services for wood products in BC, across Canada, and into the USA. This supports many of BC’s rural economies.
This year, 203 British Columbians were nominated for the order, with more than half coming from the Lower Mainland. Since the inception of the Order of BC, 432 British Columbians have been appointed with numbers ‘generally proportionate to a region’s population’.
“British Columbia is strong because of our people. This year’s recipients represent the diversity and strength of our province. They have all dedicated their lives to making B.C. a better place, and I commend them for their tremendous achievements and service,” said Premier John Horgan in a statement.
The Order of BC investiture ceremony will be held at the Government House in Victoria on September 20, 2018.
