No jail time for Williams Lake man in Prince George double assault

A Williams Lake man won’t spend any time behind bars, despite being found guilty in connection with two assaults in Prince George.

Trevor Alexis has been sentenced to 12 months probation, found guilty of the following charges:

  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Assault and Mischief under $5,000

The 26-year-old also received a lifetime firearms prohibition; charges of Assault with a Weapon and Aggravated Assault were stayed.

Prince George RCMP were called to the 1900 block of Strathcona Avenue for an assault in progress on August 7th, 2017 and while en route to that call they received another report of a possible stabbing in the same area.

Police say the first incident involved a woman who was not hurt, but had the tires on her vehicle slashed.

A 31-year-old man, the reason for the second call, was taken to hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

A suspect was arrested a day later in Agassiz.

RCMP say the suspect and the female were known to each other.
