Povember competition returns for its 2nd year

If you’re an avid pulled pork sandwich lover you may want to consider buying a ticket for the 2nd annual Povember competition taking place at the Cowboy Ranch next Monday.

Home sweet Home grocery is teaming up with the ranch to bring local restaurants together to find out who will be crowned the champion of all things pork and bread.

Diandra Oliver is the co-founder of the Home Sweet Home grocer, and says restaurants will have fewer restrictions this time around:

“Last years event was really great it was our inaugural event, and last year we had 5 restaurants square of and the Twisted Cork took the title. Last year restaurants were not allowed to put toppings on their pulled pork it just had to be [the] meat and buns and this year they can do whatever they want!”

It all gets underway at 7 pm at the Cowboy Ranch, tickets are 25 dollars and available at Home Sweet Home grocery.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
