Residents wishing to put their name forward for Prince George City Council can do so tomorrow (Friday).
Candidate Nomination Packages will be available for pick up on the fifth floor of City Hall or can be downloaded on the City website.
The packages will include:
- Qualifications for office
- Key dates relevant to the election
- Nomination forms and documents
- Election advertising and campaign signage regulations
- Resources related to the Council Code of Conduct and relevant bylaws
- Resources related to campaign financing and disclosure statement
Candidates have between 9AM on September 4th and 4PM on September 14th to submit their completed packages to the fifth floor of City Hall.
The nomination period runs from September 4th to 14th and the deadline to withdraw is September 21st.
The campaign period begins September 22nd; general voting day is October 20th.
