A UNBC professor will be inducted into prestigious company this month, as she joins a long list of researchers coming together to talk about science, art, and scholarship.
The Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, scientists and artists brings minds together to discuss topics of importance in certain fields.
Professor of Medieval European History Dana Wessell Lightfoot says she hopes to bring one specific item to light..
“I’m really interested in gender equity, so in men and women having equal opportunities in higher education. So that’s really a key focus for me that I want to talk about”
Lightfoot says she was surprised but thrilled at the nomination, and is just the second UNBC professor to be named to the society. Joining Professor Alex Michalos.
Wessell Lightfoot joins 90 other colleagues, as they will be presented as members in Quebec City on November the 21st.
