Prince George Fire Rescue are investigating a small basement fire early this morning.
Around 6:30, crews from three halls responded to a structure fire on the 1900 block of Redwood Street.
When they arrived, a single story family home could be seen with light smoking coming from a basement window.
Firefighters located the cause of the blaze to a mattress fire and quickly extinguished it.
The home was vacant at the time and damage to the area was minimal.
