The driver of the tractor-trailer that hit a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team three months ago is facing several charges.

Saskatchewan RCMP have charged the 29-year-old with 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

Families were notified of the charges before police addressed the public at a conference earlier today.

Several memorials were held shortly after the incident, including one outside the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA) in Prince George.

More than $15 million was raised through a GoFundMe page set up for the families of those who lost their lives.
