A unique type of charity fundraiser is in the Northern Capital this weekend.
The YMCA of Northern BC teamed up with FortisBC to bring Fresh Air Cinema’s Movie at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, where they will be showing Avengers: Infinity War for free on a three storey screen.
YMCA’s Manager of philanthropy Stephanie Deol says all the money raised from the concession stand will go towards the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
“Our goal is to raise $60,000 and we have a long way to go.”
“We are sitting at about under $30,000 so we still have halfway to go but I know that the community of Prince George is fantastic and last minute and will help us reach that goal,” added Deol.
