The College of New Caledonia has unveiled the first rainbow crosswalk at a post-secondary institution in Northern BC.
The walkway symbolizes inclusiveness for all students and the LGBTQ community and is a way for the school to kick off pride month.
“I’m really proud,” says Student Representative Michelle Frechette.
“I’m proud that not only do we have it on our campus and that there are so many in Prince George but it also shows that we are leaders in post-secondary education. We are not following anybody, we are setting the pace and that’s the kind of environment I want to be apart of and I’m happy to say that’s where I am today,” added Frechette.
