A date has been set for a Preliminary Inquiry for a 32-year old man, arrested in Quesnel with the aide of a police dog.
Nathan Doucette is due back in Provincial Court on November 23rd.
Doucette is charged with Break & Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Quesnel RCMP say a patrolling officer observed a vehicle back on February 20th that had been reported stolen from Prince George.
He says the driver then noticed him and took off at a high rate of speed.
Police say the vehicle was then located unoccupied a short time later on a dead end street in North Quesnel.
Officers set up containment in the area and called in a police dog for help.
A man was arrested a short time later.
RCMP say a suspect was hiding under a tarp inside an outbuilding less than 100 meters from where the vehicle was located.
Police say the man suffered minor injuries related to a confrontation he had with the police dog.
