International author and military historian makes a Prince George appearance

A world recognized author, historian and broadcaster will be in Prince George to discuss the effects and history of the first world war.

Gwynne Dyer has columns in almost 175 newspapers worldwide and has received an Academy Award nomination for his work on a history documentary called “War” and Thursday he will be at UNBC.

Allan Wilson is with the UNBC library, and talks about his visit:

“His lecture is specifically on World War 1 and really the Nation building exercise that was for Canada. But he is a wide ranging historian and his latest book is “Canada in the great power game 1914-2014″ so I’m sure he will take all sorts of questions from the audience”

The event takes place at the CANFOR theater at 7 pm, there is no cost for admission, though reservations are available with a donation.
