From DP Todd, to TRU in Kamloops, to professional volleyball in Germany.
That’s the route for Jordan Foot of Prince George, who has signed a one-year contract to play for TV Bliesen, that competes in the 10-team German third division.
After playing his high school volleyball at DP Todd, the six-foot-six middle left home to compete for Thompson Rivers University (TRU).
He graduates this week with a business degree.
“At the start of May when I was at my sister’s place hanging out with her friends and Colin Carson (former WolfPack star and fellow Prince George resident) was also there, Colin highly suggested Joost Kooistra, a FIVB certified agent, for me to apply for his representation,” says Foot in a team release.
“I sent him an email about how I wanted to play overseas and he wanted my athlete CV and video highlights which I sent him a few days later. The most stressful week of my life passes by until I get email on May 17th from Mr. Kooistra about an offer from a club in Germany.”
“I do know it’s a perfect fit for me currently and believe I will get plenty of playing time so I can further develop my athletic skills.”
Foot played five years at TRU.
