WATCH: Northern simulation centre getting upgraded thanks to $50K donation

WATCH:

The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation has received a $50,000 donation from RBC for system updates to its simulators at UHNBC.

The facility provides robotic patient simulators, like babies in pediatric care, conducting real medical scenarios.

“It’s been a challenge to get people to understand how important the program is in supporting education for our up-and-coming nurses and physicians, but as well as maintaining the skill sets of the staff that provide that service.”

– Clinic spokesperson Tammy Hoefer

Simulation services are also found in Quesnel, Fort St. John, and Terrace.
