UNBC is getting five new nurse practitioner(NP) seats.

A new study from the Fraser Institute showed BC residents on average lose $2,362 in wait times, and Dix says he understands there is criticism about our health care system.

“These primary care initiatives are critical as well to addressing these issues. Yes there have been challenges in the public health care system in British Columbia and we are responding to those challenges by responding with 21st century public sector solutions using the efficiencies we find in the public system to make things better.”

Back in 2017, it was revealed the average wait time in BC was 26.6 weeks.
