BC Transit buses are 'safe vehicles' this Halloween

Halloween is here and BC Transit would like to remind you that transit buses are considered ‘safe vehicles’ like a fire truck or ambulance.

BC Transit spokesperson Meribeth Burton;

“We also wanted to remind everyone in the community of Prince George that all BC Transit buses are safe buses. So much like you would approach an ambulance, police officer or firefighter, if you approach a BC transit operator on a bus we have access to emergency services. So if your trick or treaters get lost or separated have them seek out a BC Transit bus if that is the nearest safe vehicle for them”

Drivers should also stay extra alert on the roads and watch for unpredictable trick or treaters and parents should make sure their kids are visible to make it easier on the drivers.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
