Prince George fire crews responded to a fire in the 1300 block of Ewert Street just before 12pm today.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the second floor of the house.
One individual was home at the time of the fire and was not injured.
Crews were able to extinguish the flames and determined the fire was caused by a pot left on the stove.
The damage is estimated to be around $200,000.
