ORIGINAL STORY:
Brad Morrison of Prince George, who notched eight points (3G, 5A) and a plus-four rating in two games for the Lethbridge Hurricanes against the Red Deer Rebels, is the WHL Player of the Week.
Morrison notched a goal and an assist in the 6-0 victory in the opener, and then a night later had a career-best six points (2G, 4A) in an 8-3 triumph, as the Hurricanes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the best of seven first round series.
The six-foot, 171-pound forward has 19 points (6G, 13A) in 13 career WHL Playoff games.
Originally selected by his hometown Prince George Cougars seventh overall in the 2012 Bantam Draft, Morrison recently completed the regular season portion of his WHL career, tallying 263 points (112G, 151A) in 334 games.
He spent his first four WHL seasons with the Cougars.
