Multiple areas of the world were represented today at the University of Northern BC.
This was part of the school’s Culture Day, which saw food, booths, and performances portraying the different walks of life that make up UNBC.
One student who created a booth, Shizheng Wang, says these kinds of occasions are great for spreading each individuals’ cultures.
“To show something special to UNBC students and let them know our culture so we can know each other better and we can make friends here.”
Wang’s booth portrayed Chinese culture and showed off calligraphy in Chinese writing. He says it was well-received.
“UNBC, Prince George, all of Canada, people are so friendly,” explains Wang on the character of people he’s met in the city.
“Like every time I open a door people always say ‘thank you’.”
Culture Day is an annual event put on by UNBC.
