A new fundraiser has been introduced by the Prince George Hospice Society.
“Text to Give” is a quick way for people to donate to the organization, and to bring their fundraising efforts to the technological era.
Sanja Knezevic, Special Events Coordinator, says this can help connect with the younger generation.
“Accessibility is huge, that’s why we introduced this, a well as, being able to make donations on our website. The easier you can access this, the more likely people are to donate. We realized that and we are just trying to do what we can to keep up.”
The hospice needs to raise over 1.4 million a year to continue to provide care and services.
You can text CARE to 30333 and donate $10 to the Hospice Society.
