Play Grounds Cafe set to expand

The 2017 Business of the Year in Prince George is expanding into the Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel.

Play Grounds Cafe has been serving the community since fall 2015 and will be opening their new branch at the hotel called Play Grounds Bistro with just one major difference to the original.

“There won’t be the play space, it’s a dedicated cafe,” explains Owner Jeni Arnott.

“We will still be providing our homebaked goods, quality coffee, as well as a few other specialty coffees and we’ll still be providing our crepes as well.”

Arnott says Prestige reached out to her about putting the addition in the hotel, much to the delight of the small business owner.

“Prince George supports local 100%, we hear it from everyone,” she says.

“As our business grows and other small businesses grow, it is solely from word of mouth from our local community and the fact that they do support us.”

Arnott hopes to have Play Grounds Bistro open by the end of June 2018.
