After averaging 18.2 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, Vasiliki Louka of the Timberwolves has been named to the Canada West basketball second all-star team.
It is the first time in her four seasons with UNBC Louka has been honoured as an all-star.
The six-foot-three post from Athens, Greece was fourth in the conference in points-per-game and second in rebounds.
“I am really happy about this. This award means all my hard work in the summer paid off. I’m not satisfied, though. I always want more for my team and for myself,” said Louka in a team release.
Louka also led Canada West in offensive rebounds with 73, in minutes played with 713 and in double-doubles with 14.
She added 22 blocks, the third-most in Canada West.
The Lady Timberwolves finished 9-11 in the regular season, a team record for wins.
Meanwhile, Kayla Gordon of Trinity Western was chosen a third-team all-star.
