“Anytime that there is an adverse weather such as this major snowfall, there can be delays to the system and we are seeing that in Prince George today,” says Communications Manager Jonathyn Dyck.
“The big areas that I’ve been told are affected are Route 15, there’s a little bit of area up there that’s been affected by this, and the other piece that’s been affected is a lot of side roads.
PG Transit has announced Route 161 Burns Lake-PG is been canceled.
#TransitAlert Route 88 & 89 will not be traveling on Baker, Foster or Davis. It is detoured on Tyner BLVD and Ospika BLVD

There are two tips for riders on days like today, according to Dyck.
“Please be patient. We are working hard to get you where you need to go safely and as best as possible with the roads and weather conditions as they are so please have patience with us,” Dyck explains.
“The other one is please dress appropriately and plan ahead. Make sure that you’re wearing warm clothing and that you’re prepared, and make sure that you’re wearing clothing that can be seen.”
Dyck also mentions if you usually get picked up at a bus stop on a hill to look for one off a hill to make it easier for the bus drivers to pick you up and continue the route.
#TransitAlert – As of right now all city transit routes are running. They are running behind due to weather conditions. Drivers are doing their best – unless you need to go out its best to stay home. #SafetyFirst
