A delegation from the Prince George Chamber of Commerce is on their way to China, Thursday.
Chamber CEO Christie Ray says their trip will build on work done by the city and Initiatives Prince George to foster a relationship with the Chinese market.
However, she says this trip also has its own agenda.
“What we’re trying to do is give chamber members an opportunity, just to become familiar with China,” Ray says. “This trip may help some of the business owners to really determine whether or not they want to look further into China as a market for them.”
Ray says the aim of the mission is to also introduce the Chamber to China’s culture, history, and people.
The delegation will spend nine days overseas.
