Lower fuel costs here to stay… for now.

Gas Prices here in the North are some of the cheapest in the Province, and although we have seen some increases here and there economists say prices could remain lower for the next couple of months.

Dan McTeague runs a website called tommorowsgaspricestoday.com and says gas prices in Prince George have one distinct advantage:

“The fact is there’s an 8 cent difference in taxes supplied to motorists in Prince George for gasoline versus Vancouver, and so there is automatically a bit of an advantage there. That there might be prices that appear higher, can really only be explained by the measure in which retailers are charging as part of the overall price of fuel”

Costco is currently the cheapest supplier of fuel in Prince George at just under 1.22 per liter, while the majority of suppliers are currently averaging 1.26.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
