Elaine Scory came all the way from Fraser Lakes to show her respect to the man who did so much for her community.
“He was always to approachable, you know you sort of forgot he was a professional as well, because it was unusual to see somebody with there shirt hiked up in the post office showing how his scared healed, but that was the kind of man he was.”
Many people who attended the event said he wasn’t more than just their physician.
“Dr. Kelly was not only my doctor, but he became a very dear friend.” Says Margaret Legault.
“He was just such a nice genuine, nice person and such a great doctor” explained Suzane Patterson.
Kelly had many other achievements, such as bringing several lab training programs to CNC, along with opening the BC Cancer Centre in PG to help those who live in rural areas.
