New website for Film Northern BC looking to "reel" clients in

A new website for Northern BC Film has popped up online recently, and its aim is to showcase the North to the rest of the Film Industry.

With snow settings always in high demand the Northern locations appear to be the cream of the crop when it comes to filming winter scenes, Perhaps none bigger than 2011’s “The Grey” with front-man Liam Neeson, which filmed in Smithers.

Interim CEO of Northern BC Tourism Clint Fraser says the website is just another tool that brings in prospective clients:

“We primarily work to provide location scouting services, script matching, and things like logistical support and hosting services to productions looking to film in the North. The website is really another way to market our great locations to these influences”

Fraser says there’s already several proposed projects of interest, and more are expected as Winter draws near.

Visit filmnorthernbc.com for all the details.
