A Ringette team made up of players from Prince George and Quesnel will be playing in the U-16 Ringette Festival in Finland.
Northern Lights Ringette Head Coach, Keith Sullivan explains the itinerary for the trip.
“We start off in Sweden and we play an exhibition game there before taking the ferry over to Finland and we play a local team before playing in the tournament”
He adds it should be a great experience for everyone involved.
“Some of these kids haven’t been farther than Calgary or Edmonton to play and one of them has never been on a plane before. Just to get that experience in a another country is going to be great.”
Kids from Port Coquitlam and Terrace will also be making the trip.
It begins on December 27th.
They will also take in the World Ringette Championships and the World Junior Hockey Championship during the trip.
