Prince George City Council approved a new snow-clearing procedure last night, which we will be seeing by the first snow fall of winter.
Under the new procedure, all city streets will be plowed within five days of a snowfall.
The process also establishes new priority routes, such as: main roads, the hospital, civic facilities, and the business district, which will all be cleared within 48 hours of the end of a 10 to 15 cm snowfall.
Council also began the first of three readings of a new bylaw that will limit overnight parking, from October 15th to April 15th from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on priority roads.
