The St. Vincent De Paul Society is getting ready to put on its annual Christmas feast.
The full turkey dinner will be available for families and individuals who may be alone this time of year.
“It’s not just monitoring poverty” says St. Vincent De Paul’s Bernie Goold. “It’s if you’re alone or would like to come out for an hour or two on Christmas day and share with others or be as quiet as you want you’re welcomed.”
Every year the society sees over 250 people show up to take part in the festivities.
Goold says this it’s one of the smaller dinners they put on, but it’s one of her favourite dinners.
“People can sit back and relax and enjoy seconds and you know, just some fellowship and spend sometime with others on Christmas.”
The dinner is taking place at the Sacred Heart Auditorium from 11:30am until 1pm tomorrow.
